AMC ordena piloto de Preacher!

Preacher fans were surprised to learn about Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's involvement with the adaptation of the classic Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon comic book series, but AMC (the network behind Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead) have now given the pilot the green light!

AMC have given a pilot order to Preacher, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's take on the beloved comic book. The duo wrote the episode together and are producing alongside Neal Moritz. Despite the controversial nature of the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon series, Sony and AMC are both keen to move ahead on the project, but this is a pilot order rather than the previously talked about straight to series order. "’Preacher’ has been our favorite comic since it first came out," said Rogen and Goldberg, who are attached to direct. "Garth Ennis is one of our idols and it’s an incredible honor to be working on this. We promise we won’t make too many dick jokes and ruin it." For those of you unfamiliar with the property, it focuses on Jesse Custer, a preacher in a Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend and an Irish vampire, the three embark on a journey to find God. The pilot will go in front of cameras next year for series consideration in 2016.

Puede andar. conociendo el tipo de humor que le gusta a Rogen (el mejor ejemplo es Zack and Miri make a porno) creo que le sienta bien esta serie. Y lo dice un hardcore fan de Ennis!!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so-called "girl in the flower dress" is living up to that name in her next role.
Ruth Negga has been cast as former hitwoman Tulip O'Hare in AMC's adaptation of the comic series Preacher. This is the first cast announcement for the series, which is being developed for television by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, who created the original Preacher comic series for DC's Vertigo imprint, is on-board as co-executive producers.
There's no word yet on if Negga's role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would continue if Preacher goes forward as a television series. Negga recently filmed a role in the Jimi Hendriz biography film All Is By My Side and is set to play the role of Lady Taria in the cinematic adaptation of the video game series Warcraft.

Following Ruth Negga being cast as the female lead, now Ian Colletti has been announced as Arseface for the AMC Preacher TV series.
Deadline reports Colletii will play Eugene Root, aka Arseface, with the character described as: "having a horribly disfigured face and severe speech impediment, Eugene’s still the nicest kid you’ll ever meet and really looks up to Jesse. Stomach-churningly difficult to look at, Eugene’s the town’s reviled Frankenstein’s monster, but that won’t change his earnest, sweet and pure outlook on life. However, he is troubled by something terrible he’s done in the past — something he fears might have turned God himself against him."
Preacher follows Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says.
Preacher is based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s 1990s comic; Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are developing the project for AMC and will direct the pilot, written by Sam Catlin who will serve as showrunner.
